who we are

Copper Canyon Consulting is a forest engineering firm based on southern Vancouver Island, serving clients from the Cowichan Valley to Clayoquot Sound. We are committed to finding practical solutions to our clients’ problems, using sound management practices to meet their requirements, and applying professional standards to exceed their expectations. Copper Canyon offers a wide range of services including forest engineering and related project management, timber evaluation, and GIS/Mapping.

Dwayne Ferguson, RFT

I am a graduate of BCIT and have been a Registered Forest Technologist since 2005. I have been working in the forest industry since 1993, and my work experience on Vancouver Island began in 1994. I have completed projects on the South Coast, Lower Mainland, Southern Interior, and West Coast of Vancouver Island. I have also worked internationally, having spent 8 months implementing a Forest Development Plan for a land holder in Argentina. I have managed projects of various scopes for licensees and land holders including Timberwest, Interfor, Weyerhaeuser, Equis Forest Resources, Echa-Peh Natural Resources, Ty Forest Services and MaMook Natural Resources. I also work on smaller-scale projects for private land owners, working closely with clients to ensure their needs are met. Above all else, I look forward to facing the challenges, to finding new opportunities, and forging new relationships, while continuing to provide clients and associates with professional service and a quality product.
